ABOUT US

Erroibar Films®is an independent film production company established in 2004 to support the creative work of film director Karlos Alastruey.

Our passion and main focus is the production of fictional short films, feature films and documentary films that, on account of its themes, aesthetics and approach to reality, may contribute to promoting changes in the mindset as well as informing social transformations more in keeping with our vision of human beings as inherently noble.

Education, the youth, the arts, women´s status, modern society issues, death, human identity, all these are crucial questions in today´s world. We take an active interest in all of them through the multifaceted lenses of the arts and filming capabilities.

- Director and co-script writer of  “Atlantica”, a feature film whose script is currently undergoing its fifth review. Canadian-based Film Production House Xerxes Indie Films has shown interest in its production.

 

FEATURE FILM “SÍETE VALLES” (“SEVEN VALLEYS”)

- Director and co-script writer of “Siete Valles”, now undergoing its second script draft review. The script came out finalist at the Queens International Film Festival, New York, as well as Hollywood´s Writemovies contest.

KARLOS ALASTRUEY´S BIO-FILM PORTFOLIO

Born in Bilbao (Basque Country) in 1963, holds a PhD in Physical Sciences from the University of the Basque Country and currently works as a Senior Lecturer at the Public University of Navarre.

As a film-maker his filmography centres on issues of social, cultural and human interest. Most of his films can be checked out at the prestigious film database IMDB (www.imdb.com).

His first fiction short-film, “The Light Forest” (“El bosque de la luz”) was awarded the gold medal by the UNICA (UNESCO Independent Film-Makers Union) in 2004 for promoting understanding amongst peoples.
His short film “Ainhoa and the Sea” (“Ainhoa y el mar”) entered the competition at the DIY Film Festival, Hollywood, in 2006. In 2007 Ardia was one of the entrants at the International Festival on Cinema and Technology, in Los Angeles, New York and Orlando (USA).
His latest short-film “Ardia” won a “Selected Work Award” at the Tokyo Video Festival, in March 2007, and won the best experimental award at the Canada International Film Festival.
Several of his works have been screened on TV (ETB, ATEI Iberoamericana and cable channels).

The script of the feature film “Seven Valleys”, in co-authorship, was selected to enter the competition at the New York Queens Film Festival in November 2006. It was finalist at the Hollywwod´s Writemovies script contest.
